The Presidents' Foundation
Because AAE remains committed to improving art education opportunities for its members and students, the concept of establishing a foundation to award scholarships to AAE members who are working towards higher education degrees and art certifications was formed.
The AAE Presidents' Fund set a goal to begin the process of creating a separate formal foundation. Each year during Fall Conference a raffle is held of donated artwork, jewelry, vendor items, etc to raise money for the fund. College graphic art students are invited to create AAE logos and designs to be used on t-shirts, aprons, and other items also sold during conference.
The fund also accepts monetary gifts given in honor or memory of members, family and friends. For over 20 years, the Fund has continued to build funds until in 2011, when the Arkansas Art Educators Presidents' Foundation officially became incorporated and in 2012 achieved 501 C (3) status.
